They assist with organization recruitment, including the management of applications and coordinating onboarding sessions.They also help maintain employee records and assist with employee development and engagement opportunities for Daily employees. Associates may also participate in HR projects and initiatives to support the overall HR function within the Minnesota Daily.ResponsibilitiesConduct new hire onboardings and paperworkAssist with HR planned events and functions for the staffEncourage employee well-being and positive interactionsIdentify opportunities for employee growth and learningAssist with employee relations training and resourcesDevelop knowledge of HR laws, processes, and workflows to aid in the function of the department and employee growthAttend weekly HR staff meetingsOther duties as assigned by the Human Resources DirectorQualificationsMust be a University of Minnesota studentEagerness to learn and grow as an HR professionalAbility to work effectively with people with diverse identitiesAbility to display a professional manner at all timesAbility to handle confidential informationExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailStrong work ethic, self-motivation, and problem-solving skillsAbility to learn and adapt to necessary computer programsStudents in their freshman, sophomore, or junior year are especially encouraged to apply!Disclaimer: This job description is only intended to be a summary of the responsibilities and qualifications required in the day-to-day work for this position.
