Commercial Sales Representative

The Commercial Sales Representative is responsible for driving new recurring monthly revenue (RMR) and project sales by developing new commercial accounts throughout the assigned territory. This role focuses on security technology solutions including access control, video surveillance, remote guarding, intrusion detection, intercom systems, and managed services.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prospectand develop new commercial business opportunities through cold calling,networking, referrals, and strategic outreach.
• Generateand maintain a healthy sales pipeline using the company CRM.
• Conductdiscovery meetings to understand customer operational and securitychallenges.
• Performsite surveys and work with the engineering/operations team to developsolution designs.
• Prepareprofessional proposals and presentations.
• Presentand demonstrate security technology solutions.
• Negotiatepricing and contract terms within company guidelines.
• Closenew business while maintaining target profit margins.
• Developrelationships with property managers, facility managers, business owners,developers, and decision makers.
• Coordinatesmooth project handoffs to the operations team.
• Maintainaccurate CRM records, forecasts, and activity logs.
• Attendnetworking events, trade shows, and association meetings.
• Participatein weekly sales meetings, pipeline reviews, and ongoing training.
• Staycurrent on industry trends and emerging security technologies.

Minimum Activity Standards

• 50+outbound prospecting activities weekly
• 10qualified appointments per week
• 5customer presentations per week
• 3proposal submissions per week
• CRMupdated daily
• Weeklypipeline review completed

Requirements

• 3+years of outside B2B sales experience.
• Commercialsecurity industry experience preferred.
• Experienceselling recurring monthly revenue (RMR) preferred.
• Excellentcommunication and presentation skills.
• Strongnegotiation and closing abilities.
• Comfortablewith cold calling and business development.
• Abilityto read construction drawings is a plus.
• Proficientwith CRM software and Microsoft Office.
• Validdriver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Abilityto pass background screening and drug testing.
