Responsibilities Join our Southwest Healthcare System team of Professionals as Nurse Manager (RN) for Med Surg Tele! Southwest Healthcare Inland Valley Hospital in Wildomar, California, is a licensed 122‑bed facility accredited by the Joint Commission. It is Southwest Riverside County’s only designated Trauma Center and a county‑designated Paramedic Base Station. The hospital performs more than 4,000 surgeries a year and has an average of 4,000 Emergency Department visits per month. The hospital features a Bariatric Weight‑Loss Surgery Center of Excellence and the region’s only Total Joint Center. Position Summary The MST Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for the Med/Surg/Tele units, ensuring delivery of safe, high‑quality patient care. This role oversees daily clinical operations, staffing, budgeting, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement initiatives while fostering a culture of service excellence and professional development. The MST Manager partners closely with Clinical Supervisors, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient flow, maintain labor efficiency, and uphold standards in documentation, patient safety, and core quality measures. Key responsibilities include staff recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and competency validation, as well as crisis leadership, policy development, and maintaining clinical expertise in telemetry and emergency response. Qualifications Job Requirements Two (2) years of recent department‑specific experience required. Charge nurse, supervisory expertise in department‑specific required. Minimum Essential Education Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field required. Master’s degree in a related field preferred. Required Licensure / Certifications Registered Nurse with current California RN license. Current BLS certification. ACLS certification. Basic EKG/tele interpretation experience required or completion of a Basic EKG class within six months of employment. Essential Job Duties Attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Maintain confidentiality and function effectively with high volumes of patients. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good computer skills. Solid understanding of English, grammar, and punctuation. Calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, BSA, circumference, and volume.
