Guest Services Event Staff IOWA SPEEDWAY located near Des Moines, Iowa Speedway joined the NASCAR family of tracks in 2013. Known as the "Fastest Short Track on the Planet", Iowa Speedway plays host to two major race weekends a year, welcoming the ARCA Menards Series and the NTT INDYCAR Series. The track was designed by NASCAR Hall of Famer Rusty Wallace. Position: part-time seasonal. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Transporting and assisting guests, including ADA guests. Scanning tickets. Assisting guests at admissions gates and inside the grandstands. Checking for proper credentials. Assisting guests at information booths. Being an onboard tram ambassador, or serving as an attendant at tram stops. Greeting and assisting campers. Roaming/monitoring assigned campgrounds. Education and Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous Guest Services experience preferred. Other Skills, Abilities, and Qualifications Minimum age 18 years old. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment. Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions for extended periods. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned. Positive attitude, friendly and outgoing. Must follow dress code and have a clean, presentable appearance at all times.
