Major duties include:

• Apply, monitor, and troubleshoot continuous cardiac monitoring equipment (e.g., Telemetry)
• Recognize and report critical arrhythmia or EKG changes to nursing and medical staff
• Perform routine and Stat 12-lead EKGs on inpatients
• Ensure proper lead placement and patient positioning to obtain accurate tracing
• Clean and maintain EKG machines and telemetry equipment
• Ensure equipment is functional and report malfunctions to biomedical engineering
• Accurately document procedures and patient information in the medical record
• Maintain logs of completed procedures according to department protocol
• Prepare and submit completed EKG's monitoring reports to ordering providers
• Answer phones and respond to telemetry needs
• Participate in ongoing education and training related to EKG technology and arrhythmia recognition
• Assist in the training of new staff or students when applicable
• Any duties as assigned

Work Schedule: Full time Monday-Friday Evening/Nights with Rotating Weekends and Holidays
