Travel Nursing Assignment Highlights Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Float Pool Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing assignment Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940–$2,040 Location: Columbus, Ohio Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients Med/Surg Tele RN Job Details Start Date: November 16, 2026 End Date: February 15, 2027 Schedule: 3 shifts per week Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts Shift Hours: 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. Hours per Week: 36 Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:5 on days, nights, and weekends Weekend Requirement: Minimum of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule Float Requirement: Flexibility to float to units within the organization with equivalent or lower acuity Orientation: 24 hours Travel Registered Nurse Job Requirements Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience Previous travel nursing experience required Active Ohio RN license or valid compact RN license in hand at the time of submission Current BLS certification ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications Experience with Epic electronic health records Proficiency with IV starts, telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, peripheral and central line care, blood product administration, wound care, and oxygen therapy Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program Two professional references, including at least one reference from a manager, director, supervisor, or other formal leader Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and clinical prioritization skills Ability to complete required credentialing and Ohio fingerprinting promptly after acceptance Medical-Surgical/Telemetry RN Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to Medical-Surgical and Telemetry patients Assess patients, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize changes in patient condition, escalating concerns appropriately Manage patients requiring IV therapies, non-invasive airway support, feeding tubes, chest tubes, PICC lines, wound vacs, and other medical-surgical interventions Administer medications and blood products in accordance with established protocols Float between appropriate units as needed while maintaining quality patient care and efficient workflow Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, rehabilitation, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and other members of the healthcare team Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in Epic Participate in rapid response and code team activities when indicated Remain available for weekdays, weekends, and holidays according to the assignment schedule Apply now for this Medical-Surgical/Telemetry travel RN opportunity in Columbus, Ohio, and take the next step in your travel nursing career.
