Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Nurse Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS (TNCC preferred) Description: Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs. Establish a compassionate environment to provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individual plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team. Provide health teaching and counseling to promote, attain, and maintain the optimum health level of patients. Demonstrate the ability to use clinical judgment in conjunction with critical thinking to recognize, act upon, and report changes in patient condition. Complete, accurate, and timely documentation in patient medical records. Provide input into the development of policies and procedures to support patient safety and quality of care. Supervise and delegate responsibilities of licensed practical nurses and/or unlicensed assistant personnel. Serve as an advocate for the patient by communicating and collaborating with other health service professionals. Complete required education, competencies, and licensure in a timely manner.
