Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Springfield, Illinois. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care on a busy 25-bed unit specializing in urology and nephrology. Candidates are required to bring their active Illinois RN license on the first day of this assignment. The position supports a day shift schedule from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Job Details:

• Location: Springfield, Illinois
• Specialty: Medical Surgical Floor (MS) / Urology/Nephrology
• Schedule: Day shift, 0645-1915, Minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS certification, minimum 0 years of experience (new graduates accepted if they have a solid foundation), Cerner charting experience, minimum 18 months of unit-specific experience (if applicable)
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Med/Surg/Telemetry, trauma level I experience, prior hospital or community hospital experience, completion of required certifications as specified in the unit description
• Additional Information: This position requires telemetry-remote monitoring skills, use of Rapid Response Teams, and experience with genitourinary/renal case skills including pre/post hemodialysis management and renal failure. Will float within scope to meet facility needs. Must have an active Illinois RN license in hand at submission and bring it on the first day.
