What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a defense-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or authorization for access to designated areas, and follow established protocols for deliveries, visitors, and after-hours activity.
• Maintain readiness of assigned equipment, follow post orders and use-of-force guidelines, and complete required reports related to patrol activity, incidents, and/or policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
