Athletic Trainer

New Milford Public Schools, a progressive, growth-oriented K-12 public school district in Bergen County, is looking for an Athletic Trainer beginning in August, 2026.

Qualifications:

• Licensed by New Jersey Board of Medical Examiners to practice as an Athletic Trainer
• New Jersey Certification as an Athletic Trainer required
• Bachelor's Degree or higher from an Athletic Training Education Program accredited by CAATE
• Maintain BLS certification
• CPR Teaching Certification preferred
• Valid Driver's License and Car insurance
• Excellent organizational communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

• Comprehensive care, prevention and rehabilitation of athletic injuries for student athletes within the New Milford School District
• Work collaboratively with coaches, student athletes, parents and administration to ensure appropriate medical care and treatment
• Provide essential sideline coverage by attending practices and events while coordinating priority with the Athletic Director
• Maintain a daily treatment log and file all necessary incident reports and doctor's notes with the school
• Supervises the clearance of all required medical paperwork for student athletes and works with the School Nurse and Athletic Assistant
• Oversees ordering supplies and equipment, maintains up to date inventory and an effective, efficient athletic training room

Salary: Starting salary beginning at $55,000; commensurate with experience. Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, prescription, vision and dental benefits. Sick, personal, family illness, and bereavement allotments are included. Job # 404
