Adjunct Instructor, Building Construction Management

Responsibilities Instruct college students in accordance with educational theories and techniques. Develop discipline‑related curricula, assess student learning, participate in program evaluation and college activities. Maintain college and department standards in support of the College's mission and strategic plan. Work schedule varies according to teaching assignment. Minimum Requirements Master’s degree and 18 graduate credit hours in Construction Management or a related discipline plus two years of related experience in the following areas of related industry experience: Residential and commercial materials and methods. Experience with technical drawings and software. Building codes and ordinances. LEED and the Green Building Initiative with experience in renewable energy and construction materials. Construction surveying methods. Construction estimating with experience in residential and commercial takeoffs, specification, and plan review. Scheduling and planning methods, knowledge of various industry software applications used to aid contractors in scheduling and planning of projects. Environmental health and safety, experience with OSHA procedures and site safety practices in an industrial setting. OR Bachelor's degree or higher in construction management or a related discipline plus three years of related industry experience in the same areas of related industry experience. OR Associate’s degree in Construction Management or a related discipline plus four years of related experience in the same areas of related industry experience. AND documentation in two or more of the following: Teaching and/or industry training experience in Construction Management or construction‑related industry consistent with professional associations. Documented relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor's degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEUs, vendor, or military. General Contractor/Building Inspector. Current industry‑recognized certification within the field of construction management (certified building inspector, OSHA Construction industry trainer, certified construction manager, etc.). Preferred Requirements Knowledge about the building construction industry and subject areas such as a general contractor's license, relevant industry software, professional registry such as engineering or architecture, online teaching, curriculum development. #J-18808-Ljbffr LRP Media Group
