Location: 34800 Bob Wilson Dr, San Diego, CA 92134

Start Date: 07/01/2026 (tentative)

Duration: 1 year minimum, with options to extend until 2031

Shift: Days, Monday Friday, 8-hour shifts

On-Call: 2 overnight shifts/month + 1 weekend shift every 3 months

On-Call Hours: 4:00 PM 7:00 AM

Hours/Week: 40

Employment Type: 1099 Contractor

Certifications: Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery; Fellowship in Foot and Ankle

Licensure: Current, full, active, unrestricted medical license in California

Experience: Minimum 1 year post-residency in orthopedic surgery with specialized foot and ankle training

What You'll Do

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations including histories and physical exams
• Develop and manage non-surgical treatment plans for foot and ankle conditions
• Perform a full spectrum of surgeries, including fracture fixation, joint replacements, and deformity corrections
• Manage pre- and post-operative care, including wound management and rehabilitation
• Handle complex trauma and limb salvage cases
• Participate in multidisciplinary team collaborations and resident teaching
• Provide urgent or emergent orthopedic care during on-call rotations
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
• Contribute to operational readiness and clinical research efforts

What You Need

Required:

• MD or DO from an accredited U.S. or Canadian medical school
• Valid, unrestricted medical license in California
• Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery
• Fellowship training in Foot and Ankle Surgery
• At least 1 year of post-residency experience

Preferred:

• Experience in trauma, limb salvage, or high-acuity orthopedic procedures
