Job Description - Registered Nurse - OR Recovery Full Time (Days) (7469-1320) Registered Nurse - OR Recovery Full Time (Days) - 7469-1320 As a part of Duke LifePoint Healthcare, our community hospital is being supported with more resources than ever before. PACU you has 15 baysand helps patients recover from interventions requiring anesthesia. While rare, most post-operative complications typically occur in the first hour following surgery so this area functions similar to a critical care unit. POSITION SUMMARY OF MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES The post anesthesia care nurse is responsible for assessing and maintaining adequate ventilation, homeostasis and circulation; assessing level of consciousness, providing pain management, and ensuring the safety of the patient until transfer to another unit Administers medications and blood products per hospital protocol Maintains organized work area and participates in daily unit duties Assumes the responsibility of the professional nurse by demonstrating accountability and seeking opportunities for continued growth SUPERVISION Supervised By: Administrative Director of OR – Assistant Nurse Manager PACU / SDS Supervises: Non professional personnel QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS, CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSURES Graduate of accredited school of nursing #J-18808-Ljbffr
