Primary Care Physician (PCP)

Our client is a nonprofit community health center dedicated to providing high-quality, affordable primary healthcare services regardless of a patient's ability to pay. The organization offers comprehensive care including primary care, behavioral health, pharmacy services, diagnostic imaging, care coordination, and community support programs across Western Maryland.

Salary:
$250,000 - $325,000 annually, based on experience

Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a full-time Primary Care Physician to provide comprehensive primary care services in an outpatient community health setting. Under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer, this role manages a patient panel, delivers high-quality patient-centered care, collaborates with a multidisciplinary provider team, and supports clinical initiatives that improve community health outcomes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive primary care services, including diagnosis, treatment, preventive care, and referrals when appropriate.
• Manage a panel of patients and oversee their ongoing medical needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, providers, and support staff to deliver team-based, patient-centered care.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records, documentation, and EHR updates.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer reviews, and clinical guideline development.
• Address patient communications, test results, and follow-up care promptly.
• Participate in provider meetings, community outreach events, health fairs, and educational programs.
• Support organizational goals, grant initiatives, payer programs, and value-based care initiatives.
• Provide compassionate, respectful care while promoting the mission and values of the company.

Qualifications:

• Must be a licensed Physician in the State of Maryland.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience providing direct primary care services preferred.
• Experience working in a community health center or outpatient clinic setting is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively with patients, providers, leadership, and community partners.
• BLS certification required; ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications encouraged.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical documentation standards, and healthcare compliance requirements.
• Ability to provide culturally sensitive care to diverse patient populations.
