Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 25 weeks Shift: Day and Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Department License: Valid Registered Nurse License in California Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Department - Previous travel assignment experience - Completed references must be available at time of submission - Ability to float to other facilities Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse with a specialty in Emergency Room care. Candidates must have a valid Registered Nurse license in California and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS are required. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in an Emergency Department setting. Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center is preferred. Continuous IV sedation and triage experience are advantageous. The role requires the management of patients with various medical emergencies, including traumatic injuries and acute medical conditions. Additional responsibilities include care of ventilated patients and administration and monitoring of procedural sedation. Candidates should be comfortable managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and have experience interpreting dysrhythmias. Interdisciplinary support is available, and the setting will require coordination with multiple specialties. This position may require floating to different departments or units.
