The preschool/ Kindergartenteacher’s assistant helps the lead teacher with set up, clean up, and administration of lessons. They are a positive and helpful role model. Key responsibilities: Assist the Lead Teacher in meeting the individual needs of the children Meet daily with the Lead Teacher to discuss the planned instructional materials for the day Take initiative to direct, guide and motivate the children in various areas of the learning center Maintain confidentiality Make progress on identified annual professional goals Help maintain a safe and orderly environment Prepare materials for presentation Familiarize oneself with the contents of the Parent/Student Handbook Assist in leaving the classroom in good order Attend staff meetings and appropriate in-service workshops (which includes current certification in CPR/1st Aid) High school diploma. A minimum of 3years of professional work experience, preferably with younger children. Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks.
