Medical Billing Specialist

Working remotely, the full-time Medical Billing Specialist will manage the entire billing cycle, including accurate code assignment, claim submission, payment posting, and denial resolution, while ensuring compliance and timely reimbursement. Key responsibilities Review clinical documentation and assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes according to payer guidelines Investigate and follow up on unpaid balances, working with insurance carriers to resolve reimbursement issues Maintain accurate patient billing records and documentation in the practice management system Required qualifications 3+ years of experience in medical billing and coding within a healthcare setting Strong understanding of medical coding standards (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) and billing workflows Experience in Sleep Medicine and/or DME billing preferred Professional coding certification (CPC, CCS, RHIT, or RHIA) is a plus Experience working with private medical practices or outpatient clinics preferred
