Night Shift LPN/LVN — Med-Surg, $5k Sign-On Bonus

Job Summary The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) in the Medical‑Surgical unit provides direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role supports patient safety, care coordination, and quality outcomes while enhancing the overall patient experience. Location & Shift Central Maine Medical Center, Lewiston, ME Full‑time, Nights, 7 p.m.–7 a.m., twelve‑hour shifts. Responsibilities Provide bedside patient care in a Med‑Surg environment. Monitor vital signs, patient status, and clinical changes. Assist with medication administration, IV therapy, and blood draws. Support care plans and patient throughput. Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams. Ensure patient safety, infection control, and compliance. Document care in EMR/EHR systems. Communicate changes in patient condition promptly. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required. IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification within 90 days of hire. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintenance thereafter. Work experience in health care preferred.
