TITLE: Supervisor POSITION TYPE: Part Time - Non-ExemptCOMPANY: Sharks Sports and Entertainment, LLCLOCATION: Oakland Ice CenterREPORTS TO: Assistant General ManagerPay Range: $25.57 per hourPosition Summary:Operates the facility and supervises employees under the direction of the General Manager, Assistant General Manager and Supervisor Lead. Must know limits of jurisdiction and when to refer and defer to management. Shift Information:You must be available to work 2/3rds of each month, including early mornings, evenings and weekends with holidays. Essential Functions: Responsible for ensuring that shifts are sufficiently staffed.Responsible for maintenance of the ice surface, including use of edger and correct resurfacing techniques.Responsible for handling all deliveries to the facility.Evaluates building maintenance needs and repairs daily.Assists with event operations, birthday parties, and private ice rentalsAssists with close-outs, bank deposits, and making change Counts and secures all safe funds at the beginning and end of each shift worked.Inventories Oakland Ice Center keys and radios before and after each shift.Ensures that all employees are practicing excellent customer service, and that all policies and procedures are properly implemented.Knows emergency procedures for equipment and evacuation plan.Ensures the overall cleanliness of the facility.Ensures Oakland Ice Center is secured and locked at the end of each business day.Performs additional duties as required. Qualifications: Must be able to wear SSE assigned uniform during all shifts Ability to work various shifts, weekends, holidays, early mornings, and late nights.Demonstrated ability to work effectively with staff and guests Good oral and written communication skills.One year of relevant experience.Must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this job that are physically demanding.Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.Must be able to work in a cold environment. What We Offer: $200 employee referral bonus for each friend hiredPet Insurance30% discount in the Sharks Pro ShopFood and beverage discount at Aramark locationsFree Barracuda tickets to most gamesFree ice skating at Sharks Ice (San Jose, Fremont, and Oakland)Fun environmentSummary: Born in 1991, Sharks Sports and Entertainment ("SSE") has grown into a multi-faceted organization that includes the SAP Center, the NHL San Jose Sharks, the AHL San Jose Barracuda, the Tech CU Arena, three Sharks Ice facilities, and the non-profit Sharks Foundation.
