Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Critical Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Experience: Minimum one (1) year of relevant nursing experience License: State RN License in good standing Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Current Trauma 1 experience, EPIC experience Description: The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for a group of patients for a designated time frame. Provides care to patients via the utilization of the nursing process, nursing trends, technology, financial and human resources. Performs all responsibilities and duties required by the unit specific to the scope of service. Implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice. Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to ensure the integration of information for use by the healthcare team. Completes initial assessment upon patient admission and develops an appropriate plan of care based on patient and family needs. Implements the plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures. Modifies the plan of care based on continuous evaluation. Takes responsibility for patient and employee safety by reporting and/or correcting safety hazards and incidents. Communicates directly and privately when necessary to resolve issues. Offers constructive feedback to assist in the professional development of peers. Confers with colleagues to expand knowledge base. Identifies own learning needs and takes initiative to begin appropriate solutions. Fulfills all requirements of departmental competencies. Floats to various inpatient units as needed. Provides direct nursing care and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide patient care to various patient populations. Conducts and documents assessments, nursing diagnoses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care. Precepts staff from various units as needed. Coordinates care with multidisciplinary team members to facilitate and provide the highest possible quality patient care. Candidate must have current Trauma 1 experience and EPIC experience.
