Job Description Role The Senior UX Designer will lead day-to-day design strategy and execution across multiple healthcare products, translating complex requirements into scalable, production-ready user experiences. This individual contributor role emphasizes systems thinking, high-quality interaction and visual design, and close collaboration with engineering to ensure design intent is realized in production. Key Responsibilities Lead product design for multiple products in a portfolio, owning design strategy and deliverables. Plan and facilitate user research and testing (user interviews, A/B testing, usability testing, surveys, analytics) and document findings (journeys, personas, information architecture, service blueprints). Produce deliverables including user flows, wireframes, visual designs, interactive and motion prototypes, and annotated specifications. Use judgment to choose appropriate fidelity (sketches, AI-assisted proofs-of-concept, or fully refined specs) and prioritize durable, maintainable solutions. Apply and contribute to the HCA design system (Neutron), improving adoption and pattern quality. Collaborate deeply with front-end engineers; ensure designs align with component-based development and modern frameworks. Drive strategy conversations with product and engineering partners, foster UX-centric culture, and mentor junior designers. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in HCI, UX, product design, graphic design, or related field (required). 5+ years of experience in UX or design-related roles (required). Demonstrated expertise in human-centered design, interaction, visual, and systems design. Strong systems thinking and experience working with or contributing to mature design systems. Experience with user research methods and both qualitative and quantitative analysis. Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder influence skills; ability to present to senior leaders. Prior collaboration with front-end engineering teams and practical understanding of how designs become production code. Technical & Tool Experience Figma suite: Figma Design, FigJam, Figma Make. Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks and implementation models: React, Vue, Tailwind CSS. Experience with AI-assisted design and code-authoring tools (examples cited: Copilot, Cursor, Codex, Claude Code, Replit, v0, Lovable). Working with a production design system (HCA’s Neutron) and component-based development practices.
