Human Resources Assistant

Talascend is currently seeking a Human Resources Assistant for a contract opportunity with our client in Enfield, Connecticut .


Overview


The Human Resources Assistant supports personnel functions within the organization, including managing personnel records, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and assisting with training and interviewing processes. The role involves working on-site and providing support to HR staff and management.


Responsibilities

• Assist with orientation for new employees
• Communicate with employees, management, and HR staff as appropriate
• Support HR staff and participate in special projects as assigned
• Maintain employee files and records
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Proficient with HRIS and MS Office programs
• Experience managing multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to learn new systems quickly and improve efficiency
• Excellent follow-up, communication, writing, and grammatical skills, with strong attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education
• Must pass a post-offer background and drug test
