We're committed to giving children back their childhood!Job Posting Title:Certified Medical Assistant (PRN)Location:Frisco - Ambulatory Surgical CenterAdditional Posting Details:Schedule: Monday - Friday AvailabilityAvailable to work from 8 to 20 hours a week depending on need.Job Description:Duties/ResponsibilitiesManages clinic throughput and flow of patient-room utilizationAssists with patient intake, measures vital signs, and reviews medication lists; takes medical and surgical historiesPrepares and disinfects exam rooms prior to each patient visitEnsures adequate supplies and appropriate instruments are available in clinicsSchedules diagnostic tests or imagingMay participate in specimen collection and processingMay remove casts and splintsMay perform venipunctureAccountable for meeting the standards of patient/personal safety and in maintaining a clean and therapeutic environmentAssists clinic staff with administrative needsMaintains patient information and documentation in electronic medical recordAbides by organizational and HIPAA guidelines, privacy practices, patient confidentiality, and patient rightsSupports hospital and departmental performance improvement goalsSupports quality care through compliance with departmental and organizational policies and guidelines, and external agency guidelines, standards, or regulationsSupports departmental initiatives and change effortsPractices financial and resource stewardshipEngages in strong communication, acts as team player in supporting mission and vision of organization, and abides by organization’s core valuesAdditional duties as assignedRequired Skills/AbilitiesHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredCertified or registered Medical Assistant requiredBLS certification requiredApplicable work experience preferredWorking EnvironmentWorking Conditions: InsideWorking Position: Sitting, Standing, WalkingPhysical Demands: Light, MediumPhysical Requirements: Lifting/Carrying, Pushing/Pulling, Repetitive Movement, Stooping/Kneeling/BendingAn Individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in this group: 11-24lbsSensory/Communicative activities essential to the performance of this position: Feeling, Hearing, Seeing, Smelling, SpeakingAn Individual in this position will be exposed to: Inside environment, Bloodborne pathogens, Chemical Hazards, Respiratory Hazards #J-18808-Ljbffr
