Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (Per Diem Night) Location: 300 Second Avenue, Long Branch, NJ 07740 Pay Range: $46.90 – $63.09 per hour (New Jersey) Shift: Night Employment Type: Per Diem Summary of Job Function The Registered Nurse provides nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, while ensuring awareness of ethical standards as defined by the ANA code of ethics. The RN maintains safe practice, promotes evidence‑based care, reports safety issues, coordinates with team members, and individualizes plans of care for patients. Essential Functions Ensure safe practice and integrate evidence‑based principles. Identify and report safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors. Demonstrate knowledge of the patient population served. Supervise and delegate tasks to appropriate team members, collaborating with other providers. Set and evaluate priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement. Serve as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager, utilizing the nursing process to address patients’ needs. Qualifications Required: ASN or Nursing Diploma; one to two years’ experience in specialty; strong communication and organizational skills; proficient computer skills. Certifications and Licenses: BLS and ACLS certification; active New Jersey Registered Nurse License; valid N.J. State Driver’s License. Preferred: BA/BS/BSN Degree; completion of clinical experience in an NLN‑accredited school; screening certification eligibility; national certification.
