  • Conduct in-depth preliminary interviews and document thorough case histories from the initial consultation to point of discharge.

  • Evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health using evidence-based assessments and clinical judgment.

  • Design tailored intervention and recovery plans for a diverse range of clients, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
  • \n
  • Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing therapeutic techniques grounded in best practices.
  • \n
  • Continuously monitor and document client progress throughout their treatment journey, making adjustments to plans as necessary.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams of mental health specialists, physicians, and nurses to ensure holistic treatment approaches.
  • \n
  • Follow up with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients transitioning from inpatient settings to outpatient care.
  • \n
  • Proactively identify and mitigate behaviors that may hinder recovery, fostering a supportive environment for change.

  • Provide guidance and support to family members and primary caregivers as they navigate mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients served at Robina Behavioral Health Center range in age and complexity, including individuals of diverse backgrounds experiencing a variety of mental health concerns, from anxiety and depression to trauma-related issues and addiction disorders. As a counselor, your insights and expertise will be pivotal in guiding them toward healthier coping mechanisms and improved overall mental health.

Qualifications\n

  • A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Pennsylvania.
  • \n
  • A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

  • Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor with a strong focus on client-centered care.
  • \n
  • Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, with experience in platforms such as AVATAR .
  • \n
  • Knowledge of co-occurring physical and mental health issues, as well as substance abuse disorders.
  • \n
  • Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices.
  • \n
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, alongside exceptional interpersonal abilities.

Preferred Experience\n

  • Previous work experience in an outpatient setting, particularly within a remote structure.

  • Experience in leading group therapy sessions and workshops.

  • Understanding of community resources and referral systems.
