This role will drive the delivery of secure, scalable, and high‑performing platforms across front‑end and back‑end with the ability to drive engineering best practices and provide leadership within and across teams. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter who takes ownership, works well in a collaborative environment, and demonstrates the potential to grow into broader technical leadership responsibilities. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a key contributor to the software engineering team, helping design and deliver the next generation of enterprise applications. This role is focused on backend engineering and cloud‑native services, while also offering opportunities to contribute to frontend solutions and broader full‑stack initiatives as needed. The Work Itself Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and enterprise applications using Java and modern cloud‑native architecture Contribute to frontend development including support for user‑facing features and full‑stack solutions when needed Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, maintainable software designs and implementation plans, provide estimates and communicate tradeoffs and risks clearly. Write clean, reusable, secure, and high‑quality code that aligns with engineering standards and best practices. Address vulnerabilities on regular bases and always look for opportunities of enhancements. Contribute to system design, architecture discussions, and technical decision‑making across projects Demonstrate ownership of deliverables from design through deployment and production support Leverage AI‑assisted development tools and agents to improve engineering productivity, accelerate delivery, enhance code quality, and support activities such as code generation, refactoring, test creation, documentation, and troubleshooting. Evaluate and apply AI‑assisted development practices responsibly, including validating outputs, maintaining code quality, and ensuring alignment with security and engineering standards Perform code reviews, promote excellence in engineering, and help raise the technical capabilities of the team Provide informal technical leadership through mentoring, knowledge sharing, and guidance on design and implementation approaches Participate in and help lead agile ceremonies and technical sessions, including sprint planning, design reviews, backlog refinement, code reviews, and retrospectives Support automated testing, continuous integration, pnoun_2/CD practices across the software delivery lifecycle The Skills You Bring Minimum Qualifications 3+ years of experience Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or equivalent Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of software engineering experience with strong proficiency in Java, Java EE, Spring Boot, REST Web Services, Hibernate, MySQL, and JUnit Strong experience building backend systems, APIs, and microservices in large enterprises or SaaS environments Experience working in cloud‑based environments such as AWS EC2, ECS, API Gateway, Lambda, S3, and SQS Experience with scripting languages such as bash, Python, or JavaScript Strong experience working in Agile Scrum environments Knowledge of continuous integration tools (GitLab), automated testing frameworks, and CI/CD Strong experience with JSON, XML, XSLT, and relational databases Ability to create technical designs, document solutions clearly, and communicate architecture effectively Experience using AI‑assisted development tools or AI agents to support software engineering workflows, including coding, testing, debugging, documentation, or developer productivity. For example, Claude Code or similar AI tools.
