Systems Repairman

Job Title

To install, repair, construct, adjust, modify, maintain and service electrical control equipment including all related systems such as magnetic, electro-hydraulic, optic, sonic and pneumatic.

Responsibilities

• Received overall direction and instruction from supervision.
• Uses appropriate handbooks, manuals, complex wiring diagrams, drawing, specifications, and instructions necessary to perform the primary function.
• Plans detailed work procedure to determine material replacement needs and selects the appropriate approach to diagnosing repair problems.
• Works with Millwright and other service employees on the installation of new machinery and equipment as required.
• Assembles, aligns, inspects, adjust, repairs, modifies, or replaces faulty parts.
• Performs necessary mechanical disassembly or assembly of components including, but not limited to, motors, pumps, cylinders, linkage, gears, piping, tubing, valves, housings, etc.
• Performs necessary soldering and brazing as required.
• Performs routine maintenance on equipment including cleaning, lubricating and performance testing.
• Operates machines tools and related equipment under test conditions.
• Maintains files of machines documents including drawings, schematics, records, charts, and updates them as dictated by chances to equipment.
• Records time spent on jobs and equipment.
• Reports defective materials and equipment to supervision.
• Recommends spare part inventory levels.
• Records detailed descriptions of breakdowns, repairs made, and parts used on the CMMS work orders.
• Operates overhead cranes and material handling equipment.
• Maintains excellent housekeeping by keeping tools and materials in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Observes all safety regulations.
• Responds to Elliott provided cell phone for off-turn systems coverage.
• Makes required repairs in connection with servicing all plant electronic and electrical equipment.
• Performs normal electrical plant maintenance work as required.
• Analyzes equipment, diagnoses circuitry troubles, repairs, adjusts, modifies and service all types of electronic devices and systems including communication, computing and control systems, utilizing various measuring, testing instruments and electronic equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work any shift and OT as needed.
• This individual will be required to pass testing that will be administered during an onsite interview.
• 5+ years of prior experience as a Maintenance Technician, PLC Technician, Mechanic or equivalent.
• Must be able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Must be able to keep a clean and safe work environment and surroundings.
• Must possess basic computer skills to keep/maintain maintenance records.
