Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

We are seeking a skilled Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for a contract, school-based assignment near Excelsior Springs, MO. This rewarding role offers immediate start and the chance to work closely with students, teachers, and the wider educational team for the current school year.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized, ABA-based behavioral and instructional support throughout the school day
- Implement behavior intervention plans and proactive strategies as directed by the educational team
- Encourage appropriate behaviors, communication, and social interactions using positive reinforcement
- Recognize behavioral triggers, employing prevention and de-escalation techniques
- Collect, document, and report behavioral and academic progress data
- Assist students with classroom routines, transitions, and academic tasks
- Collaborate with teachers, special education professionals, and student support staff
- Ensure a structured, safe, and nurturing learning environment
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification highly preferred
- Current Missouri DESE Substitute Teaching Certificate is required
- Experience with ABA services, autism support, or school-based behavioral interventions
- Confident understanding of behavior intervention plans, data collection, and positive reinforcement
- Excellent communication skills and a patient, collaborative mindset
- Capacity to remain attentive and composed during challenging situations
