The Role at a Glance:

We are looking to add an enthusiastic, motivated Maintenance Worker/Housekeeper to our Constellation team at Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ.

Compensation: $17 an hour. 

• Clean and sanitize dining areas, restrooms, kitchen spaces, and storage rooms.
• Dust, mop, vacuum, and polish floors and surfaces regularly.
• Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in accordance with sanitation policies.
• Launder and restock linens, uniforms, and cleaning supplies as needed.
• Monitor cleanliness standards and report issues promptly.
• Wash and sanitize all dishes, cookware, and utensils following health code standards.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dishwashing areas.
• Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing kitchen deliveries.
• Ensure cleaning and sanitation chemicals are used and stored safely.
• Support kitchen staff during peak hours as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks including light plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and facility issues.
• Respond to urgent maintenance requests from restaurant or catering staff.
• Coordinate with external vendors for larger repairs and scheduled servicing.
• Maintain maintenance logs and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in housekeeping, kitchen stewarding, or facility maintenance preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning products, tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and safety.
• Physical stamina to lift, move, and stand for extended periods.
