Machine Operator

Description Summary: Operates machinery in a safe and efficient manner by performing the following duties. Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. Wears PPE in accordance with company policy (Steel Toe Shoes & Earplugs). Operates production equipment to produce products in accordance with safety, quality, & projected company goals as related to company expectations. Produces assigned products in accordance with verbal and written instructions. Completes equipment set-up in accordance with machine & style specifications. Inspects product on cycle and documents findings as needed. Maintains work areas in a clean, orderly and safe manner to include returning tools to designated areas. Adheres to all established policies and procedures of safety, quality and production. Notifies management of product discrepancies, equipment malfunctions and/or personal injuries. Education/Experience: Minimum - High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence in English. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations. Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Able to use common fractions and decimals. Should be able to properly read and interpret a tape measure. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense to carry out written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Temperature controlled with LED lighting. Area / machinery is usually low noise but may at times require hearing protection.
