Assistant Building Maintenance Mechanic

The Jefferson County Buildings and Grounds Department is currently seeking applications for Assistant Building Maintenance Mechanic. The position is 40 hours per week. Primary responsibilities will be cleaning/custodial duties, grounds maintenance and general upkeep of buildings.

Minimum Qualifications:

One year of experience in general building construction, maintenance or repair work in one or more of the standard trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, etc.; OR
Three years of experience assisting in general building construction, maintenance or repair work in one or more of the standard trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, etc.; OR
An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.

Special Requirement: Appointees will be required to possess a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in New York State or otherwise demonstrate their ability to meet transportation needs of the job.

Salary Range: $20.28 per hour - $23.91 per hour
