Role Description The Bankruptcy/Foreclosure Associate is a full-time, hybrid role based in Boca Raton, FL, with the opportunity to perform some work from home. This role involves managing bankruptcy matters from inception through resolution, including reviewing case files, analyzing creditor rights issues, and drafting pleadings, motions, and other court documents. The Bankruptcy/Foreclosure Associate will appear in court as needed, communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and trustees, and provide status updates and strategic recommendations. Day-to-day responsibilities include legal research, case analysis, negotiation of resolutions where appropriate, and coordination with internal staff to ensure deadlines, compliance requirements, and client expectations are met. The role also includes collaborating with colleagues on related foreclosure and litigation matters to support cohesive and efficient case handling.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Law, with experience or coursework related to bankruptcy, creditor’s rights, or civil litigation.

• Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and client correspondence.

• Well-developed Analytical Skills for assessing complex legal issues, interpreting statutes and case law, and evaluating case strategy.

• Effective Communication skills for interacting with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and internal team members.
\n
• Ability to identify, analyze, and address Legal Issues arising in bankruptcy, foreclosure, and related litigation matters.

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission in good standing to the Florida Bar (or eligibility for prompt admission).

• Prior experience in bankruptcy law, creditor’s rights, or foreclosure practice is highly beneficial.

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Comfort with legal practice technology, case management systems, and remote collaboration tools.
