Dispensing Pharmacist - Long Term Care - Part Time

Position Summary This role is based in a closed‑door Long Term Care facility and is part of Omnicare®, a CVS Health company that provides pharmacy services to the long‑term care market. As a pharmacist, you will play a critical role in supporting Omnicare patients, providers, and business functions. Responsibilities Ensure accurate entry of orders. Maintain the security of the pharmacy. Adhere to required delivery schedules. Verify orders entered by technician staff for accuracy. Check for completeness and precision of all new and refill labels and orders. Check for content and accuracy of all drug packaging and labeling. Prepare and/or supervise sterile IV drug products or solutions, if required. Assist in maintaining a perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs. Apply knowledge of DEA and state law with regards to controlled drug dispensing. Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage during scheduled rotation based on the needs of the business. Follow all applicable state and government regulations, including HIPAA. Other duties as assigned (vary by location). Schedule Part‑time pharmacist with a maximum of 29 hours per week. Schedule is based on business needs Monday‑Friday 8am‑10pm, with weekend rotation every fifth week and an on‑call requirement. Required Qualifications Licensed pharmacist in the state of North Carolina, active and in good standing. Preferred Qualifications Long Term Care pharmacy experience. IV Certification or experience. Immunization certification or willingness to become immunization certified. Education Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD. Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is $50.48 – $84.62 per hour. The actual base salary offer will depend on experience, education, geography, and other factors.
