Mediation Specialist II

A Typical Day The Mediation Specialist will manage key metrics related to servicing litigation, which includes, but may not be limited to, the following teams: Contested Matters, Title Matters, and Mediation; department performance; implementation of department strategies/procedures; and responding to inquiries related to customers/vendors/investors/regulatory agencies. As the Mediation Specialist , you will interface with other divisions in servicing to ensure upstream/downstream processes are appropriate. Attend Court-appointed mediations by telephone or virtual appearance to support operational success Support the servicing of mortgage loans Support business leaders to identify/support processes at the operational level Perform other related duties as required and assigned Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values What You’ll Bring 5+ years of relevant work experience An in-depth understanding of state-by-state foreclosure rules, and the ability to attend Court-appointed mediations by telephone or virtual appearance Understanding of GSE/insurer servicing guidelines Must be highly proficient in Excel and Word Experience in Financial Services and, if possible, with prior mediation experience is preferred Why You Should Join As one of the top mortgage lenders in the country, Pennymac has helped over 4 million lifetime homeowners achieve and sustain their aspirations of home.
