EMPLOYMENT AND STAFFING STRUCTURE

This position is employed and staffed by Enterprise Management Solutions, LLC (“Company”), which serves as the staffing agency and employer of record for this position. The employee is assigned by Enterprise to provide services to American Homestays, LLC dba Ameribuild in accordance with the duties and responsibilities outlined in this job description.

Enterprise Management Solutions, LLC is responsible for employment administration, including recruitment and hiring, onboarding, payroll processing, maintenance of employment records, human resources administration, and applicable employment-related compliance.

American Homestays, LLC dba Ameribuild is the organization receiving the staffing services and is responsible for directing the employee’s day-to-day work activities, operational priorities, worksite procedures, and performance expectations related to the services performed for that organization.

Enterprise Management Solutions, LLC and American Homestays, LLC dba Ameribuild may coordinate regarding scheduling, performance, workplace matters, regulatory requirements, and other issues necessary to support the employee’s assignment.
The employee remains an employee of Enterprise Management Solutions, LLC while assigned to American Homestays, LLC dba Ameribuild. The assignment itself does not create a separate W-2 employment relationship between the employee and the assigned organization.

ACCOUNTABLE TO: Foreman

ACCOUNTABLE FOR: Responsible for performing general construction, renovation, repair, demolition, and property-improvement work; assisting carpentry and properly licensed plumbing, electrical, and HVAC professionals; safely using tools and materials; maintaining clean and safe jobsites; following project instructions and safety requirements; documenting work progress; and completing assigned tasks within the employee’s demonstrated skill level and authorized scope.

CLASSIFICATION : Non-Exempt (W-2, Hourly) – Full-Time, Part-Time

WORK SCHEDULE: Employees may work either a four (4)-day schedule totaling 40 hours per week or a three (3)-day schedule totaling 30 hours per week. Each scheduled workday consists of a 10-hour paid shift from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with an additional 1-hour unpaid lunch period. Employees may select their preferred workdays, subject to management approval and project coverage needs. Weekend coverage is preferred whenever possible.

COMPENSATION: Ranges between $22.00 to $28.00 per hour, based on verified experience and demonstrated skills.

ANTICIPATED TRAVEL: Local travel is required to assigned project sites throughout Baltimore City and surrounding areas, with frequency based on project assignments and operational needs.

SUMMARY OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
The Construction Laborer is responsible for supporting renovation, repair, rehabilitation, and property-improvement projects through general construction labor and multi-trade assistance. Responsibilities include demolition, cleanup, material handling, measuring, cutting, assembling, installation support, jobsite organization, and assisting carpentry and properly licensed plumbing, electrical, and HVAC professionals while following all safety, supervision, and scope-of-work requirements.

SCHEDULED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform selective demolition, debris removal, cleanup, hauling, sorting, and lawful disposal of materials.
• Assist with framing, drywall, trim, doors, cabinets, flooring, painting, caulking, weatherproofing, and punch-list work.
• Support properly licensed plumbing, electrical, and HVAC professionals with material handling, staging, access preparation, fixture or equipment placement, testing assistance, labeling, and cleanup.
• Measure, cut, drill, fasten, assemble, move, and install materials within assigned skill level and authorization.
• Load and unload vehicles and maintain accountability for tools, equipment, and materials.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites and protect occupied areas during construction activities.
• Follow project plans, measurements, written instructions, supervisor direction, safety procedures, permit requirements, applicable codes, and manufacturer requirements.
• Photograph work progress and complete required daily work records.
• Immediately report safety hazards, property damage, equipment concerns, and jobsite issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Perform only work within the employee’s authorized scope and demonstrated skill level.

UNSCHEDULED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Respond to changing project needs, urgent jobsite issues, and additional construction or property-support assignments as directed.
• Assist with material movement, loading and unloading, cleanup, site preparation, and other project-support tasks as needed.
• Support work at different assigned project locations based on operational and project requirements.
• Address or immediately report safety hazards, property damage, equipment concerns, or other unexpected jobsite conditions.
• Perform additional duties within the employee’s demonstrated skill level, authorized scope, and applicable safety and licensing requirements.

WORKING CONDITIONS 

• Work is performed at active construction, renovation, repair, and property-improvement sites throughout Baltimore City and surrounding areas .
• Work may be performed in occupied or unoccupied properties and may involve exposure to dust, debris, noise, uneven surfaces, and changing temperatures.
• Employees are required to follow all jobsite safety procedures, supervision requirements, permit and code requirements, and immediately report hazards or unsafe conditions.
  

COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS 

• Proficiency with common hand and power tools used in construction and renovation work.
• Working knowledge of multiple building trades, including carpentry, drywall, flooring, painting, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC support.
• Ability to accurately follow measurements, project plans, written instructions, and supervisor direction.
• Strong attention to safety, jobsite organization, and proper handling of tools and materials.
• Ability to work independently on assigned general labor tasks and effectively support skilled and licensed trade professionals.
• Dependability, punctuality, professionalism, and strong teamwork skills.
• Ability to identify and promptly report hazards, property damage, equipment concerns, and jobsite issues.

LEVEL OF EDUCATION / TRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience in construction, renovation, maintenance, or property rehabilitation preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency with common hand and power tools and working knowledge of multiple building trades.
• Ability to follow project plans, measurements, written instructions, and supervisor direction.
• Reliable transportation to assigned project locations required.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record preferred.
• OSHA 10, CPR/First Aid, and applicable trade credentials are preferred but not required.
• Any work requiring a professional or trade license may only be performed independently by individuals who hold the required license and are specifically authorized by AmeriBuild.
