About Data Ninjas

Data Ninjas is a low-voltage and AV integrator based in Fort Myers. We handle structured cabling, fiber, CCTV, access control, and AV for commercial construction projects across Southwest Florida. We're growing, and we need a Lead Tech who can run a job without someone looking over their shoulder.

What You'll Do

• Run day-to-day work on commercial job sites: lay out the work, assign tasks, and keep the crew productive and safe
• Install, terminate, test, and certify Cat6/Cat6A copper and single-mode/multimode fiber
• Install and program IP cameras, NVRs, access control panels, readers, and door hardware interfaces
• Install AV systems: displays, projectors, speakers, DSPs, and control systems
• Read construction drawings and specs, and mark up as-builts
• Work with GCs, supers, and other trades on schedule and site coordination
• Train and mentor junior techs and helpers
• Keep job paperwork current: daily reports, material tracking, test results, and closeout docs

What You Need

• 5+ years of commercial low-voltage installation experience
• Has led a crew of 2–3+ techs on commercial jobs
• Copper termination and certification experience (Fluke DSX or similar)
• Fiber termination experience (fusion splicing and/or mechanical connectors), plus OTDR or light-meter testing
• Hands-on experience with CCTV and access control installs
• Comfortable reading construction drawings
• Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record
• Able to work on ladders and lifts, and lift 50 lbs

Nice to Have

• BICSI Installer 2 or Technician certification
• OSHA 10 or 30
• Manufacturer certifications (Avigilon, Axis, Genetec, Verkada, Brivo, Crestron, Extron, etc.)
• Scissor/boom lift certification
