Speech Language Pathologist - Riverhead

Job Overview Apply to Achieve Beyond as a Speech Language Pathologist in Suffolk, NY and help children with special needs reach their goals. We specialize in conducting evaluations and providing ongoing services in homes, community, and clinic settings, working with children aged birth to 21 years. We currently offer ABA, Speech, Occupational, Social Work, Physical therapy, and Special Education/SEIT services. Our clients are located throughout the metro New York area, including all five boroughs of NYC, Hudson Valley, Long Island, and Albany, as well as the Virginia/DC area, Maryland, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Delaware. Job Responsibilities Provide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations to children in a natural setting. Educate families and caregivers on intervention strategies to encourage active involvement and carry‑over. Work in diverse settings such as client homes, daycare centers, preschools, clinics, and other community settings. Follow the unique therapy plan established for a family or child, plan ongoing treatment, and address identified goals while documenting progress. Prepare progress reports as indicated. Maintain child records and confidentiality of information in accordance with HIPAA, state, and federal regulations, submitting required records within established timelines. Qualifications Must be a NYS Licensed Speech Language Pathologist. Passion for working with children and families. Self‑motivated, professional, and a team player who exercises patience. Fluency in a language other than English is a plus. Physical Requirements Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases, including driving a personal vehicle or using public transportation. Must ascend and descend staircases. Must lift up to 10 pounds regularly. Must sit on the floor, kneel, and/or crawl for extended periods of time. Benefits Flexible work schedule.
