Physical Therapist Job Description
- Evaluate and Develop Treatment Plans: Assess patients' physical conditions and develop personalized rehabilitation programs tailored to their needs.
- Implement Therapeutic Interventions: Utilize a range of physical therapy techniques, including exercises, manual therapy, and equipment-based interventions, to improve strength, flexibility, and overall function.
- Monitor Patient Progress: Track patient outcomes, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and ensure consistent progress toward rehabilitation goals.
- Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work closely with other rehabilitation specialists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to deliver holistic patient care.
- Educate Patients and Caregivers: Provide guidance on exercises, home programs, and lifestyle modifications to maintain progress and prevent future injuries.
- Promote Health and Mobility: Advocate for physical activity and preventive care to enhance patients' overall well-being.
Requirements
- Education, Licensure & Certifications:
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in WA.
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent.
- Certification in specialized areas of physical therapy (e.g., orthopedics, geriatrics) is a plus.
- Experience and Skills:
- Previous experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred. New grads encouraged to apply.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with patients.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
