Admissions Registered Nurse

Role Overview: The Afterhours Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive hospice care outside regular hours, including nights and weekends. Key Responsibilities Triaging patient needs via phone until an in-person visit is possible Responding promptly to crisis calls from patients and families Performing initial nursing evaluations to determine hospice eligibility within 48 hours of referral Conducting afterhours visits, including admissions, death, recertification, and routine assessments Assessing and reassessing physical, psychosocial, emotional, and environmental needs of patients and families Documenting care plans, interventions, and patient responses Providing care in diverse home environments regardless of background Qualifications & Skills Current unrestricted RN license in the practice state Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation or public transit access Preferred: CPR certification and at least one year of clinical experience Pay ranges from $70,832 to $106,248 annually, with benefits including comprehensive insurance, incentives, stock options, and 401k.
