Nursing Assistant3 North Surgical Unit is a 36-bed medical-surgical unit dedicated to providing comprehensive care for patients with a wide range of medical and surgical diagnoses. We offer compassionate, patient-centered care throughout the continuum of recovery. Our team specializes in post-operative management, medical stabilization, and ongoing treatment of acute and chronic conditions. 3 North Surgical is committed to delivering high-quality, coordinated care that supports safe healing, patient education, and optimal outcomes for every individual we serve.Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other licensed care team member, Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care and related support by performing selected nursing procedures and routine duties to assist medical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment, and care of patients.Job responsibilities include:Providing direct patient care, including hygiene, mobility, toileting, feeding, and positioning.Obtaining and documenting vital signs, intake/output, weights, specimens, and other patient data.Performing delegated clinical procedures such as blood glucose monitoring, EKGs, and venipuncture.Assisting with patient admissions, transfers, discharges, and procedures.Performing clerical and unit coordination duties, including patient charts and physician orders.Maintaining supplies, equipment, and a safe patient care environment.Responding to patient needs and emergency situations while providing compassionate, respectful care.Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent (GED)Current KY Nurse Aide Certification, or successful completions of first year of Nursing program with validation of clinical rotationBasic Life Support- Applicants will have 30 days from their hired date to provide completion of this certification if they don't have it already.Benefits:Health, Vision, Dental and Pet InsuranceTuition Reimbursement up to $6,000 annuallyCompany paid Maternity and Paternity LeaveBereavement Leave (includes pets)PTO Sell Back ProgramCompassionate Leave Sharing Program (PTO Donation)Employee Support Fund, for employees in need of emergency financial supportRetirement with Company MatchIdentity Theft Protection5 days of Paid Time Off available upon hireIf you would like to be part of a growing family focused on supporting clinical excellence, teamwork and innovation, we urge you to apply now!Baptist Health is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
