Pharmacy Cashier

Description The Pharmacy Cashier performs non-technical duties within the pharmacy under the supervision of a pharmacist. Employment Type Full time Shift Rotating Shift (day hours) What You Will Do The Pharmacy Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service by efficiently handling transactions, answering basic patient inquiries, and assisting with the front end operation of the pharmacy. This role also supports the pharmacy operations by assisting with inventory management tasks, including stocking shelves, checking for expiring medications, and maintaining inventory records. The position requires attention to detail, confidentiality, and coordination with pharmacists and technicians to ensure smooth workflow and patient satisfaction. Qualifications A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Registration with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy as Pharmacy Support Person required prior to first day of work and maintained throughout employment. Follows BOP rule 657‑5.14 reporting to board any change of name, address, place of employment or employment status within 10 days. Previous Retail or Retail Pharmacy Experience Preferred.
