Our client in San Fernando, CA is looking for Production Assembler in the San Fernando Valley. Responsibilities

· Responsible for producing assemblies using component parts per written and verbal work instructions.

· Use hand and power tools, machines, and their own hands including material handling and packaging on pallets.

· Follow production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and maintain efficiency levels.

· Preparing work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists by gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.

· Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.

· Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.

· Verifies specifications by measuring completed components to assure quality product.

· Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications and notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources if needed.

· Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; notifies supervisor if repairs are needed.

· Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with housekeeping procedures, rules, and regulations.

· Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; notifies supervisor of potential shortages.

· Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.

· Follows and implements 5S techniques.

· Follows Safety guidelines and use required PPE designated by specific areas.

· Packing and crating help and support.

· Assembly validations and inspections.

· Boxing assemblies and finish goods.

Requirements:

· High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.

· Over 2 years’ experience with Manufacturing Assembly experience

· Ability to understand work procedures, determine tooling and operation sequence, etc. in order to establish the most efficient manner of utilizing materials and equipment.

· Ability to read and interpret operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals.

· Ability to follow oral and written work instructions and take direction

· Able to communicate effectively with coworkers.

· Ability to follow instructions, possess basic comprehension and reading skills.

· Ability to lift up and move up to 50 lbs.

· Requires repeated movements and tasks daily.

· Must be comfortable to frequently stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, stoop, and crouch.

· Must be able to use vibrating/impact pneumatic hand tools.

· Must be able to work overtime and Saturdays when required.

Shifts Available:

Shifts are available from Monday – Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. with some overtime including Saturdays

Pay Details: $21.00 per hour
