Key Qualifications:

• Valid Texas Special Education Teaching Certification (K-12 or K-5 required)
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in elementary settings preferred
• Strong classroom management skills and adaptability
• Ability to build positive relationships and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Proficiency developing and implementing IEPs for students with various learning needs

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to elementary students in both resource and inclusion settings
• Develop and tailor lesson plans to meet individual academic, behavioral, and social goals
• Monitor progress and document data for student IEP goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to promote student success
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom climate
• Maintain regular communication with parents and participate in IEP and team meetings
