PURCHASING AGENT I

Working Title: PURCHASING AGENT I - 64083978 Responsibilities Evaluates and processes assigned purchase requests for commodities and contractual services for the department using appropriate purchasing methods in accordance with laws, rules, policies, and procedures contained in state of Florida’s Purchasing Policy and applicable to the department’s operating procedures. Works closely with program offices and county health departments to ensure purchasing requirements are met in a timely and economical manner. Performs other related duties as required. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities General knowledge of State of Florida purchasing rules and laws Skill in use of personal computer Skill in use of Microsoft Office Suite Ability to utilize problem‑solving techniques Ability to adapt to change and learn Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, using proper grammar and language skills Ability to work independently and make routing decisions with minimal direction Ability to work in a team environment Ability to pay attention to details Strong organizational skills Strong analytical skills Qualifications Minimum: Must be willing to physically come in the office to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. Preferred: Experience with MyFloridaMarketplace (MFMP).
