Legal Assistant

Welcome toPayette County, where life is simply better Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to support our attorneys and legal team. The ideal candidate will provide administrative and clerical assistance, manage case files, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations within the office. This role requires strong organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism. Key Responsibilities Draft, proofread, and format legal documents, contracts, and correspondence Maintain and organize case files, both physical and electronic Conduct legal research and compile information for attorney review Manage calendars and deadlines to ensure timely filings Assist with client communications, including phone calls and emails File documents with courts and government agencies as required Prepare summaries of depositions, discovery, and other case materials Support billing and timekeeping processes Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal management software Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Discretion and integrity in handling confidential information Desired Skills Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures Research and analytical skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong interpersonal skills for client and colleague interaction Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays #J-18808-Ljbffr
