WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse for a contract assignment at a highly respected hospital in Bronx, NY. This role is ideal for an OR nurse who thrives in a fast‑paced surgical environment and is committed to delivering safe, high‑quality perioperative care.

Job Function:

• Shift & Hours: 34.5 hrs | 3x11.5 Days | 7:00am-7:30pm.
  
• Document all patient care accurately, completely, and promptly in the facility EMR.
• Prepare the operating room for procedures and assist with room turnover.
• Assist with patient positioning and ensure comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
• Handle and label specimens according to policy.
• Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and infection‑control standards.
• Identify and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR staff to ensure efficient workflow.

Job Requirements:

• 2 years of Scrub and Circulating experience.
• 2 years of IV insertion and Phlebotomy experience.
• 2 years of Conscious Sedation experience.
• Associates Degree (ASN, ADN) from an accreditated Nursing Program.
• New York State RN License.
• Primary Source Verification of License and Registration of Registered Professional Nurse from NYS Department of Education (NYSED).
• AHA BLS.
• AHA ACLS.
