Job Description Description SAICseeksa highly experiencedand energeticNetworkEngineerto support the USSpace Force,Space Systems Command,inperformingoperational maintenance and sustainment ofground-based radarscritical to US and Alliedstrategic missilesurveillance,warning, defense, and space surveillance missions in Colorado Springs, Colorado.In support of the government customer,theSAICProgramManager,andthe Chief Engineer,theNetworkEngineerisresponsibleforresponsive and coherentplanning,developmentand delivery of PARCSand UEWRradarnetwork maintenance andmodifications in response to change requests and deficiency reports.Job Duties:Provides expert knowledge for maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and telecom equipment.Provides expert knowledge formaintainingnetwork integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies andmaintainssystem backup and recovery capability.Develops advanced engineering ideas and guides their development into a final product.Perform highly advanced network/systems design, development, and integration from the start of a project life cycle to the end.Provides and applies advanced engineering tohighly complexinfrastructures including installing, configuring, testing, andmaintainingnetwork devices, telecom equipment, radio equipment, operating systems, application software, and system management tools. Qualifications Bachelor’s degreeand five (5) or more years’ relevant experience and Security+, Network+, and/or higher-level certifications.Must have an active Secret security clearance to qualify for this position.Experiencewith a broad range of systemtypes: custom developed HW/SW, COTS/GOTS HW/SW, and specialty engineering of exotic material/limited supply items. Experience with implementing and sustaining distributed systems, virtual operating system environments, and virtual/augmented reality technologies.Experience translating operational requirements into system requirements; and system requirements into technical requirements/performance standards.Desired: Experiencesustaining PARCS, or otherStrategic Warning and Surveillance radar systems such as PAVE PAWS andUEWR.Knowledge of the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment mission and associated enterprise.Experiencemaintainingnational security mission networksManaging large-scale Agile orSecDevOpsteams/projects, to include support to cost estimating, baseline and risk management, schedule development, performancemonitoringand reporting. Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
