Job Description
Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) Unit: Cath Lab Shift: AM/Evenings Hours: 40 hours per week | 4 ten-hour shifts + Call Job Summary The Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced nursing skills necessary for effective patient management and collaborative teamwork. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Cath Lab, ensuring safety and comfort throughout procedures.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and manage critical situations effectively.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement patient care plans.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Educate patients and families about procedures, post-care instructions, and lifestyle modifications.
- Must possess a valid RN license and current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of consecutive experience as a Cath Lab RN.
- At least 1 year of prior ICU RN experience, with a preference for backgrounds in CCU or CVICU.
- Experience in a medical center with 500+ beds and Level 1 Trauma Center is highly preferred.
- All certifications and licenses must be valid at the time of application submission and throughout the duration of the contract.
- Requested time off during the initial contract is limited to a maximum of 7 days.
- Compliance must be completed no later than 10 days prior to the contract start date.
- Traveling staff may be required to float to other areas within their skillset based on operational needs.
