JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking an experienced Agronomist to support our maintenance operations across multiple regions in the United States. This role involves developing tailored agronomic plans, collaborating with local teams, ensuring the proper application of fertilizers and chemicals, and addressing a range of agronomic challenges to maintain landscape health and aesthetics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agronomy, experience working with commercial landscape companies, and a willingness to travel frequently to consult, train, and support regional teams. - Ph.D. in Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Science, or a related field.
- Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) or similar certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in agronomy, preferably in the commercial landscape maintenance sector.
- In-depth knowledge of regional variations in soil, climate, and pest/disease management across different U.S. geographies.
- Proven ability to develop and implement fertilization and chemical programs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for training staff and interfacing with customers.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and regions while maintaining a high level of service.
- Familiarity with landscape management software or tools for tracking chemical applications.
- English required; Spanish preferred.

- Frequent travel 60-70% of the time
- Occasionally works with mechanical objects and outside in all weather conditions
- Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals
- Occasionally exposed to loud noise levels
- Create region-specific fertilization and chemical application plans based on soil conditions and climate.
- Train certified applicators and crew foremen on safe chemical application techniques, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and PPE usage.
- Work with Branch Managers to determine product quantities and optimal application timing for cost-effective solutions.
- Collaborate with procurement teams and suppliers to develop cost-effective chemical programs while monitoring budgets.
- Serve as a key contact for clients, providing recommendations and solving landscape-related issues.
- Conduct soil sampling and analysis, manage pest and weed issues using integrated pest management (IPM) strategies.
- Evaluate and optimize irrigation systems while developing strategies for effective stormwater management.
- Execute seasonal fertilization and pest control programs, adapting to weather patterns and conducting field trials for new products.
- Collect and analyze data on program effectiveness, providing reports on landscape health and chemical usage.
- Promote environmentally friendly practices and develop low-impact pest and fertilization programs.
