Field Applications Scientist

Repligen seeks a Field Applications Scientist for downstream filtration to serve as technical expert and trusted advisor supporting customer adoption of the company's filtration portfolio. The role combines technical leadership with commercial execution, partnering across sales, product management, and R&D to solve bioprocessing challenges and drive technology adoption.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales, Product Management, and Marketing to drive adoption of downstream filtration portfolio through technical presentations, customer evaluations, and troubleshooting
• Serve as technical expert for downstream filtration applications, helping customers optimize processes and solve complex bioprocessing challenges
• Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to accelerate opportunities and increase confidence in Repligen solutions
• Collaborate across functions to develop application data, technical reports, training materials, and customer-facing content for product launches
• Maintain expertise in downstream bioprocessing technologies and provide customer and market insights to inform future product strategy

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or related scientific discipline
• 5+ years downstream bioprocessing, process development, manufacturing, or technical support experience
• Strong knowledge of tangential flow filtration, scale-up methodologies, technology transfer, and cGMP environments
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders
• Demonstrated technical expertise combined with commercial mindset and customer-centered problem solving
• Ability to work independently and travel domestically up to 75%

Compensation: $100,000-$146,000 base
